News letter - Vol 1

This is the first of six monthly News Letters from The European Angus Cattle Registration Company to inform the members of past and coming events and important developments within the society.

We are pleased to announce that cattle registrations are now available through Holstein UK.There still is a slight delay in issuing pedigree certificates due to Holstein UK installing a new computer programme; we anticipate certificates to be available end of February.
Everyone should have their PIN number now, if you have not received your Pin number please contact the secretary and he will explain why you have not received one.
Because of the time delay on pin numbers being issued cattle born from the 01/01/2002 will still be eligible to register. Calves born from 01/01/2005
Will have to be registered within forty days.

A number of members had an enjoyable day out at Mr Hugh Dickson’s Blue Bell Bank herd on Saturday 11th September. It was then onto the Herd of Father and son team of Harry and Stuart McGaffin Banbridge. There we saw an array of calves ,pures, fifty percents and the first calve off a fifty percent heifer sired by a fifty percent bull and as we all expected its black and polled. Thanks also goes to Harry’s wife Sandra and sister in law Helen for a lovely lunch.
